Jasper Ryan Martus, Democrat of Flushing has won the Michigan State House race in the 69th district.
The 69th District covers northwest Genesee County and includes 45 precincts.
Final tally is:
- Martus 56.31%
- Couch 41.04%
- Childress 2.66
Martus will be one of the youngest members of the state house at age 22. He is a graduate of Powers Catholic High School and Michigan State University’s James Madison College. Martus has worked for Democrats at all levels of government including US Congressman Dan Kildee. Most recently he was a communications advisor in Lansing for the Michigan House Democrats.
